An Overview of User Roles
There are various assignable roles that control what a user can access, manage and do within i GET IT. Below is a definition of each of the roles. Please note all permissions mentioned are referring to control of your unique account container only.
User Role | Description of Role |
---|---|
Owner | By default, every account has one Owner assigned. This person the same rights as the Admin role but in addition is responsible for billing and purchasing related information. |
Admin | The Admin role is for users to mange the account. The Admin can create, manage, remove users, groups, subscriptions, learning paths and control the account settings/preferences. |
Manager | The Manager role is designed to allow a user to assign learning paths and run reports on assigned groups. Admins can create a group and then assign manager(s) to perform the learning path assignment and reporting on that group. |
Author | The Author role is for users who need to create and update content. This includes access to the Author section, which allows a user to create and update courses, assessments, knowledge-base articles (and in the future live sessions). |
Reporter | The Reporter is a standard user but has the ability to run reports on the whole account. It was designed for customers that had people from HR or L&D that weren't actively involved in the day-to-day use of i GET IT training but needed to run usage and progress reports. |
Student | The Student is the most common role as it's the base user (sometimes be referred to as a Standard User.) The Student is provided access to the Learning section to consume training, view the Tech Tips, view the Live Sessions and pull up a Transcript for his learning history. A user had other editing or administrative rights. |
