Standard groups are very simple to work with and are a great tool to help manage your team's learning.
Create a Standard Group
- Select Account from the navigation-sidebar > Group Management.
- Select Create > Select Standard Group from the drop down list and enter in a name for your group. Click Create Group. Now you will enter the group management interface.
- To add users to the group, browse the list of available users from the left-hand list. Once you find a user to add, simply click Add.
- To remove a user, browse the list of group members on the right-hand list. Once you find a user to remove, simply click Remove.
- The groups are maintained with real-time saves, meaning your changes have immediate effect.
Adding/Removing More than One User at a Time
- When browsing your lists of users to add or remove, you can select each row to highlight the users and click the Bulk Add or Bulk Remove buttons to move them all at once.
- When selecting each row, be sure to use the Control or Shift keys to continually select your users.
Editing a Group
- Select Account from the navigation-sidebar > Group Management.
- To edit an existing group, click the pencil icon in the table.
- You can make changes to the name, managers, or the group memberships.
Adding Managers to a Group
- First, you must add the Manager role to the users that will be managing the group. Under Account > User Management > find, open the user profile and change the user role to Manager.
- When you edit your group, you can select from the list of available Managers under Select Group Managers.
- DYI: You can have more than one manager assigned to a group and a manager can also manage multiple groups.
- DIY: manager is assigned to group(s) so he can 1.) create and assign a learning path to them and 2.) run reports on the groups training analytics. A Manager can not edit or delete a users profile.
- When finished click the Save Name and Managers button.
Remove a Group
- Select Account from the navigation-sidebar > Group Management.
- To remove a group, click on the trash can icon. This will remove the group membership (doesn't delete the user).
